"The New Creation: A Special Celebration of Mary of Magdala"

This powerful prayer service, with music and liturgical movement, celebrates God's love for us in creating and re-creating new worlds.  The Creation Story is told in soaring poetry, after which we hear John's account of the new creation (20:1-18), proclaimed by heart.  Then Mary of Magdala tells her story of encountering the New Creation in the person of the risen Jesus.  As the first disciple of the Risen Christ, and apostle to the apostles, she is sent by him to proclaim the Easter Gospel.  Truly, Love propels her to go forth with the message, "I have seen the Lord!"  We conclude with prayers and personal commitment to partnering with God for the ongoing creation of our world today.

"Eastertime Lessons and Carols"

Most people connect Lessons and Carols with the Advent/ Christmas season.  Those who have experienced it know that it’s a prayerful reflection of the season, with Scripture, hymns, and prayers.  That format has been adapted by “Women of the Well” to tell the stories of some of the women leaders of the early Church, at the very dawn of Christianity.  Following each Scripture passage, one of these women tells her story; the conclusion to each such section is music and prayer, all focused on the risen Christ.  We hope you’ll enjoy encountering Joanna, Mary of Magdala, Dorcas (or Tabitha), Lydia, Prisca and Phoebe in conversation with each other, and Mary, the mother of Jesus at Pentecost.

In addition to our productions, we can assist your faith community with a retreat, a faith formation single event, or a faith formation series on women in Scripture and Tradition.
