The Jesus of Mark's Gospel began his intense, passionate ministry with the words:

"The time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near; repent, and believe in the good news."

The time is fulfilled...

• to hear the stories of women in Mark's Gospel.
• to know of their courage, wisdom, service, and compassion.
• to know Jesus more completely through the eyes, ears, hearts and minds of these women.

Hear them and be inspired.

Hear them and know yourselves better.

Hear them and know Jesus- the human face of God in Mark's telling- more completely.

Each story will be proclaimed "by heart." Following a brief reflection by each woman, a similar contemporary story will be told.

Indeed, "the time is fulfilled, and the kingdom of God has come near."
